MS made a ****ty OS which can be crashed by simple user errors (remember that CCP didn't do this on purpose)!
CCP made a bad mistake in not testing their patch properly!

Difference is, MS OS has admin access as the ONLY option. Other OS can be made (and usually is by default) secure against this kind of mistake.
